The right fitting depends on chemical compatibility, the work setting and the amount of abuse the fitting will receive. Some chemicals limit where fittings can go: we do not install welded flanges in the sidewalls of tanks holding nitric acid, sodium hypochlorite, sulfuric acid or other oxidizers. Check the chemical compatibility database for your liquid.
